Only 1 bank has interest rate above 8%

After Construction Bank (CBBank) sharply reduced deposit interest rates, another "zero dong" bank - Ocean Bank (OceanBank) reduced interest rates from today, June 27.

This is the first time since early June that OceanBank has adjusted its deposit interest rates. The interest rate reduction is 0.3 percentage points for deposits of 6 months or more.

Accordingly, OceanBank has adjusted the online deposit interest rate for a term of 6-8 months down to 7.3%/year; for a term of 9-11 months down to 7.4%/year; for a term of 12-15 months down to 7.5%/year; and for a term of 18-36 months down to 7.8%/year.

National Citizen Bank (NCB) continued to reduce interest rates for the fifth time since the beginning of June. However, NCB only adjusted deposit interest rates for 6-7 month terms with a slight decrease of 0.1 percentage points.

According to the latest interest rate schedule, the online mobilization interest rate for 6-7 month term has decreased to 7.3%/year. Other terms remain the same. 8-9 month term is 7.4%/year; 10-11 month term is 7.45%/year. 12-13 month term is 7.6%/year; 15-18 month term is 7.5%/year; 24-30 month term is 7.4%/year.

Since the beginning of June, the market has recorded more than 20 banks reducing deposit interest rates, including: Agribank, Vietcombank, BacA Bank, NamA Bank, PVCombank, TPBank, BaoViet Bank, GPBank, BIDV, Sacombank, VIB, HDBank, NCB, OCB, BVBank, VPBank, SCB, VietA Bank, TPBank,SHB , HDBank, KienLongBank, MB, ABBank, CBBank, LPBank, OceanBank, and Saigonbank.

Of which, BIDV , VietinBank, VPBank, BaoViet Bank, Saigonbank, VietA Bank, OCB, SCB, GPBank are the banks that have reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of the month.

TPBank alone reduced interest rates 3 times in June; VIB and HDBank adjusted 4 times, while NCB adjusted 5 times.
