Huge cost for President Trump's appearance at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final

The US government is expected to pay a large sum for President Donald Trump's trip to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final between Chelsea and PSG.

According to US media, President Trump will go to MetLife Stadium, New Jersey to watch the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final between Chelsea and PSG. The match will take place at 2:00 a.m. on July 14, Vietnam time.

This is not the first time Mr. Trump has appeared at a sporting event. In 2019, Mr. Trump attracted attention when he attended the UFC 244 martial arts event in New York.

But Mr. Trump’s appearances at sporting events come at a huge cost. The Daily Mail (UK) reported that Mr. Trump’s “visit” to the UFC event in New York in 2019 cost an estimated $252,567.

Of this, $224,212 was spent on hotel accommodations for the agents. Another large expense was security forces' travel ($22,005).

In addition, the government also had to spend about $6,350 to install security screening tents around Trump Tower - where the president stayed after the event.

Marca (Spain) newspaper said that if Mr. Trump actually attends the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, the cost to ensure security for this trip will be the same as in 2019, and may even be higher.

This money is spent on mobilizing personnel, security equipment, traffic control, as well as ensuring absolute safety at the stadium.
