PSG worried about Doue's injury

Paris Saint-Germain received bad news when Doue suffered a serious injury in the 1-1 draw with Lorient in round 10 of Ligue 1. In the 61st minute, the 20-year-old player collapsed after accelerating on the left wing, holding his right thigh in pain. He left the field in tears, was helped away by the medical team and then carried straight to the dressing room for an emergency check-up.

PSG doctors confirmed that Doue had a serious problem with his right thigh muscle - the same area he had just recovered from recently. Previously, during the French national team training session in September, Doue had suffered a calf injury and had to miss six matches, including four in Ligue 1 and two in the Champions League.

Having only returned to the pitch in the last four matches, Doue has shown impressive form. He scored twice in the 7-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on October 21 and continued to score last weekend against Brest. Therefore, this injury is a big shock for PSG, especially when coach Luis Enrique is gradually putting his trust in the young French talent.

According to initial assessments, Doue could be out for several weeks, depending on the results of detailed medical tests in the coming days. If this becomes true, PSG will lose a dynamic attacking player right at the time of a busy schedule in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
