Of which, the mining industry decreased by 2.8% compared to the previous month, up 59.4% compared to the same period last year; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 2% compared to the previous month, up 35.8% compared to the same period; the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 30.7% compared to the previous month, up 21.6% compared to the same period; the water supply and waste treatment industry increased by 0.8% compared to the previous month, up 6.6% compared to the same period.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the industrial production index of the whole industry increased by 17.5% compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, mining activities increased by 3.8%; processing and manufacturing industry increased by 19.3%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 0.9%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 10.3%.
Major industrial products with increased production output in the past 10 months include manufactured and assembled automobiles estimated at more than 65.7 thousand units (up 23% over the same period in 2023); suits, uniforms, jackets, trousers, overalls, and pants for adults not knitted or crocheted reached nearly 125.7 million units (up 14.1% over the same period); occupational clothing reached 4.5 million units (up 488.5%); tire cord fabric reached more than 51.2 million square meters (up 69.8%); fresh water reached 262.6 million liters (up 3.5%)...
