Summary of the comprehensive social security support model in Tan Loi Thanh commune

The comprehensive social security model in Tan Loi Thanh commune for the period 2022 - 2025 is a provincial-level model, implemented by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province in coordination with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Giong Trom district and the Party Committee of Tan Loi Thanh commune to concretize the pilot project on comprehensive social security of the People's Committee of Ben Tre province.

In the past time, with the attention of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, district, superior agencies, the determination of the Commune Steering Committee and the political system, and the consensus of the people, Tan Loi Thanh has organized and implemented the model, achieving many remarkable results.

The most outstanding is the good implementation of gratitude work, building gratitude houses, charity houses, building rural traffic, taking care of Tet for poor households, social protection beneficiaries, policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services. Reducing 128 poor households, equivalent to 5.55%, bringing the poverty rate down to 2.51%. Near- poor households: 23 households, accounting for 1% with 78 people (reduced by 22 households, 0.95% compared to 2022). Mobilizing to give more than 6,300 gifts on holidays and Tet, worth over 2.2 billion VND to support households with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households.

Supported the construction of 61 houses of gratitude and love; effectively implemented 7 livelihood models (raising goats, breeding cows...) for 61 poor and near-poor households in the commune. Nearly 600 households received preferential credit loans totaling over 17 billion VND.

More than 100 workers have been trained, 56 people have gone to work abroad. 100% of the people have health insurance; clean water, sanitation, information, and rural security are all taken care of synchronously. The rural traffic infrastructure system is concreted, making it convenient for people to travel and transport goods. From the above results, the appearance of the commune has changed, and people's lives have gradually improved.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dang Thi Phuong highly appreciated the initiative and flexibility of the Steering Committee and the Mobilization Committee of hamlets in propaganda and mobilization work. Locality Not only propagating policies, but also sharing, being close, knocking on every door, going to every situation to mobilize, motivate, explain, and create trust for people to boldly participate and implement the model. It is the closeness to the people, understanding the people, speaking the people's voice that has changed awareness: From being dependent, many households have proactively registered to escape poverty, borrow capital for livestock farming, renovate houses, send their children to vocational training, work far away; families and clans also join hands and contribute.

With the achieved results, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said that Tan Loi Thanh today has made remarkable changes, but this is only the beginning. Hopefully, after the conference, the commune will continue to maintain and improve the quality of the model, continue to promote propaganda, raise awareness, enhance livelihoods and create a spirit of self-reliance among the people. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to accompany, coordinate, mobilize more resources and consider replicating this model to other communes suitable to actual conditions.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the conference announced and awarded certificates of merit from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to 26 collectives and individuals who actively supported the material implementation of the model and well implemented the model of comprehensive social security support in Tan Loi Thanh commune for the period 2022 - 2025.
