Details of Subaru Forester 2026 imported from Japan to Vietnam, from 1.29 billion VND

Subaru Forester 2026 has officially launched in the Vietnamese market with 2 versions 2.5 iL Eyesight and 2.5 iS Eyesight, imported completely from Japan.

The Subaru Forester 2026 SUV (6th generation) has officially launched in the Vietnamese market. This C-class SUV is imported completely built-up (CBU) from Japan, marking an important turning point for Subaru when it stopped assembling at the Thai factory.

The overall dimensions have also been slightly adjusted with a length of 4,655 mm (+15 mm), width of 1,830 mm (+15 mm), height of 1,730 mm, and an unchanged wheelbase of 2,670 mm. Ground clearance reaches 220 mm, providing good support for off-road routes, combined with the multi-mode X-Mode system and Hill Descent Control to help control speed when going downhill.

The 2026 Forester's appearance still retains its characteristic muscular spirit, but is refined in a more modern direction with: a large radiator grille painted in glossy black or matte black (depending on the paint color version), newly designed two-tier headlights, a larger, sportier front bumper, square wheel arches and black plastic cladding for a more powerful look.

The 2026 Forester has 18-inch wheels with 225/55 R18 tires, the wheels are polished in two tones. The MacPherson front suspension and double wishbone rear suspension help the car operate more smoothly and stably, while the new generation Subaru Global Platform chassis increases overall rigidity by 10%, and the body torsion increases by up to 30%.

The cabin space has a modern style similar to the new Crosstrek and WRX, with an 11.6-inch vertical central touchscreen connecting Android Auto/Apple CarPlay wirelessly, the temperature control keys are placed right next to the central screen, making it easy to operate while reducing the number of physical buttons.

The steering wheel and gear lever retain the familiar design but are finished with more meticulous stitching. On the high-end version, the car is equipped with a new seat form, covered with perforated leather and suede, 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support and 8-way adjustable passenger seat.

Dual-zone air conditioning, rear seat vents, 10W wireless phone charger, USB-A 2.4 and USB-C 3.0 charging ports, push-button start and smart key. Rear seats can be folded 60/40.

The 2026 Forester is equipped with the latest EyeSight 4.0 safety package, using a single 130-degree wide-angle camera combined with a dual stereo camera cluster with a 63-degree scanning angle and a range of 130m, providing better visibility and recognition, LED headlights that "glance" according to the steering angle of the steering wheel, and a Driver Monitoring System that can warn the driver if he or she does not look at the road for 3 seconds.

The heart of the 2026 Forester is a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder Boxer engine (code FB25), producing 185 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 247 Nm of torque at 3,700 rpm. The engine is combined with a Lineartronic CVT TR58 transmission and Subaru's Symmetrical AWD system. The car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 205 km/h.

Safety system features include: autonomous emergency braking (AEB), collision avoidance steering assist, adaptive cruise control (ACC), active lane keeping and lane departure warning, forward steering control, collision avoidance throttle management, front vehicle departure warning, automatic headlight on/off, 8 airbags.

In Vietnam, the Subaru Forester 2026 SUV will have two versions: 2.5iL Eyesight and 2.5 iS Eyesight. The official selling prices are 1.299 billion VND and 1.399 billion VND respectively, higher than the previous generation but in return are a series of upgrades in design, chassis, amenities and safety technology .
