On August 27, information from the Vietnam Engineering Team, which is performing peacekeeping missions in the Abyei region (Africa), the team has just painted the national flag on the roof of module 3 with an area of ​​nearly 100m2 in the Level 1 Field Hospital area, Highway base. The activity is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day September 2. The national flag is located in front of the entrance gate, easily seen from the road leading to the base. Despite facing sudden and prolonged rains, the team quickly completed the flag in just 5 days. This is not only a welcome to international friends to the base of the Vietnam Engineering Team, but also an affirmation and national pride of each blue beret soldier performing peacekeeping missions in Abyei.

In addition to painting roofs, the Vietnam Army Corps of Engineers also organized a series of activities to repair and hand over boats to people in the local Mijak community, upgrade roads, and organize dredging of water channels and replacement of culverts to support flood prevention in the Abyei area.
In particular, the Vietnamese Engineering Corps has organized food, medicine, and clothing aid for Abyei Hospital. In Abyei, this is one of the major hospitals under the direct management of the Minister of Health , but currently the hospital only has 3 doctors, 4 nurses, and 11 volunteers working.

Although the number of doctors and staff is limited, the hospital receives more than 160 patients every day. Currently, the hospital lacks doctors with qualified technical expertise, the infrastructure is degraded, and there is a shortage of medicine... In the face of the hospital's difficult situation, the Vietnam Engineering Team has regularly organized activities to visit and provide food, medicine, and clothing to patients being treated here. Recently, the team has organized many gifts for the hospital including intestinal antibiotics, ear, nose, and throat antibiotics, pneumonia, skin wounds, vitamins, wound antiseptics, mouthwash, medical cotton and gauze, along with food, rice, and clothes...
