Allowing the trial operation of the eco-tourism product "Trekking Pa Thien - Voi Mep peak, conquering the roof of Quang Tri"

Immediately after the proposal of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province sent a document to the following departments: Agriculture and Environment; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Samuer Company Limited; Provincial Special-use Forest Management Board and Huong Hoa District People's Committee on agreeing in principle to assign the Provincial Special-use Forest Management Board to coordinate with SAMUER Company Limited located in Chenh Venh village, Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district to complete the project of experimental exploitation of the eco-tourism product "Trekking Pa Thien - Voi Mep peak, conquering the roof of Quang Tri" to put into trial operation until the project is officially approved.

Allowing the trial operation of the eco-tourism product

The Provincial People's Committee requested SAMUER Company Limited, during the pilot implementation, to have solutions to ensure absolute safety for tourists as well as service staff; comply with the provisions of the law on forestry, environmental protection, natural resource protection and other relevant regulations.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to support and supervise the testing of the above eco-tourism products.

It is known that this is a joint activity between the Provincial Special-use Forest Management Board and SAMUER Company Limited to gradually implement the project of developing eco-tourism in Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve.

Voi Mep Peak is over 1,700 m high, along with Pa Thien, two prominent destinations in the reserve, promising to become an attractive trekking route for tourists who love nature and exploration . The pilot project contributes to making Huong Hoa tourism more and more diverse, while expanding the eco-tourism products of Quang Tri province, creating livelihoods for local people.
