Allowing the merger of the Journalists Association of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces

The Decision clearly states that the An Giang Provincial Journalists Association has legal status, uses its own seal and account in accordance with the law; is organized and operates in accordance with the law and the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association . The unit is under the state management of the Provincial People's Committee; and is under the management of the sector and field of operation of the provincial departments, branches and sectors in accordance with the law.

Within 30 days, the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association (old) and the An Giang Provincial Journalists Association (old) shall be responsible for transferring all assets, finances, documents, organizations, personnel, related rights and obligations to the new An Giang Provincial Journalists Association; at the same time, ceasing to exist, operate and return the seal to the competent authority in accordance with the provisions of law. The new An Giang Provincial Journalists Association shall be responsible for organizing the congress and reporting the results of the congress in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 126/2024/ND-CP dated October 8, 2024 of the Government regulating the organization, operation and management of associations.

According to the merger project of the Journalists Association of the two provinces, after the project is approved, the Standing Committee of the Journalists Association of An Giang province will be responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies and units to advise and propose to competent authorities to lead, direct and guide the completion of the organizational apparatus, arrangement, assignment, transfer, rotation, and settlement of redundant regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants and employees of the association.

At the same time, advise on the development of plans and schemes for training, fostering, and professional training for cadres, civil servants and employees after the arrangement to prepare long-term human resources, meeting the requirements and tasks of the association's work in the new situation; arrange the organizational structure of the Provincial Journalists Association according to the new job position project, and submit it to the competent authority for approval.
