Hanoi FC had a resilient match against Wuhan Three Towns.

With superior strength and home field advantage, Wuhan Three Towns did not hesitate to push up their formation to attack their opponents.

Meanwhile, Hanoi took the initiative to play slowly and steadily and waited for the opportunity to counterattack.

But when the ball had only rolled for less than 5 minutes, striker Tagueu received a red card for a dangerous tackle on a defender of the Chinese team.

Taking advantage of that opportunity, Wuhan Three Towns pulled almost the entire squad up to play pressing right on Hanoi's field.

In the first 30 minutes of the match, the blue team held the ball more than 70%.

However, it was not until the last official minute of the first half that Wuhan Three Towns found the goal to break the deadlock thanks to Wei Shihao.

Meanwhile, despite losing control of the ball, Hanoi FC still created a few scoring opportunities.

In the 45+4 minute, Xuan Manh dribbled past goalkeeper Liu Dianzuo but his shot was blocked by Ren Hang right before the goal line.

After the break, the game did not change much as Wuhan Three Towns continued to actively control the attack, while Hanoi persisted with a defensive style of play.

Despite playing with a large number of players on their home field, the Vietnamese representative could not stop the waves of attack from Wuhan Three Towns.

In the 64th minute, receiving a cross from his teammate, Markao jumped past Thanh Chung and gently headed the ball into Hanoi's net for the second time in the match.

Conceding the second goal, Hanoi started to attack with the mindset of having nothing to lose.

In the 87th minute, receiving a pass from Hai Long, Tuan Hai dribbled the ball one more time and then finished past goalkeeper Liu Dianzuo, narrowing the score to 1-2.

But when the spirit was high, Hanoi suddenly lost another player when Van Nam received a red card in the 90+4 minute.

In the end, Hanoi lost 1-2 to Wuhan Three Towns, which was also their third defeat in the Asian Cup 1.
