President Luong Cuong meets with leaders of major corporations

During his participation in the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week and bilateral working session in the Republic of Korea, President Luong Cuong received Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong Bin and Ms. Li Li, founder of MEBO International Group (China).

At the meeting with Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong Bin, President Luong Cuong highly appreciated and congratulated Lotte's investment and business activities in Vietnam, one of the successful investment models in Vietnam, especially in the fields of real estate, entertainment, and food processing.

The President affirmed that Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for foreign enterprises, including Korean enterprises and Lotte Group, to feel secure in long-term investment; at the same time, he asked Lotte Group to continue expanding its investment and consider Vietnam a strategic market, taking advantage of the new generation free trade agreements (FTAs) that Vietnam has signed.

The President said that in the process of implementing projects in Vietnam, Lotte Group needs to pay attention to environmental protection, promote links with domestic enterprises, use raw materials produced in Vietnam, ensure social security for workers, and at the same time create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the value chain.

Lotte Group Chairman expressed his gratitude for the Vietnamese Government's attention and support for Lotte's operations in recent times. Mr. Shin Dong Bin emphasized that the group is holding an important position in its global development strategy, with plans to invest more than 23,000 billion won (16.2 billion USD) around the world , in which Vietnam continues to be a key market. Lotte will expand its investment and diversify its business activities in Vietnam, while always focusing on fulfilling its social responsibilities, actively contributing to the sustainable development of the local community.

Sharing and agreeing with Mr. Shin Dong Bin's opinions, the President affirmed that Vietnam highly appreciates Lotte's activities. Regarding Lotte's proposals and recommendations, the President said that he will assign relevant authorities to discuss and resolve difficulties, helping Lotte continue to operate stably and long-term in Vietnam, for the benefit of both sides.

At the reception, President Luong Cuong said that Vietnam is transforming the economic structure, renewing the growth model, diversifying economic sectors, taking science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force for development in the new era.

Ms. Ly Loi said that MEBO International is cooperating with VCP Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to implement phase 1 of the investment project in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. MEBO International is also considering implementing new investment projects in Vietnam in the three fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare.

Ms. Ly Loi expressed her wish to receive the attention and support of the Vietnamese Government to soon have an official presence, expand investment cooperation and contribute to the development of the medical and pharmaceutical industry in Vietnam.

President Luong Cuong affirmed that Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for foreign enterprises, including MEBO International Group, to confidently invest in effective, sustainable and long-term business in Vietnam.

On the basis of the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, including in the fields of medicine and pharmacy, President Luong Cuong hopes that the investment and cooperation activities of MEBO International Group with Vietnam will contribute to further strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries.
