
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his gratitude to the Party and State as well as President Luong Cuong personally for always paying attention to the lives of representative agencies abroad, including Laos, thereby encouraging the spirit of the Embassy's staff to be determined to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and State.
Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam affirmed that on the basis of the good traditional relationship nurtured by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries, the core and continuous task of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos is to maintain good political relations between the two countries. The staff of the Embassy always believe in the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, as well as the increasingly rising position of the country and believe in the path towards a new era, an era of strong development and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.

Speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong commended and acknowledged the achievements of the staff of the Embassy, agencies adjacent to the Embassy, and the Vietnamese Consulates General in Laos.
President Luong Cuong highly appreciated the efforts of the Embassy staff and agencies in overcoming difficulties in the local area, always fulfilling the foreign affairs tasks assigned by the Party and State.

To meet the tasks in the new situation, President Luong Cuong requested the Ambassador and the staff of the Embassy and the surrounding agencies to continue to unite, build a strong internal force, uphold the spirit of overcoming difficulties, promote the sense of responsibility, be proactive in all situations, and successfully complete the assigned political tasks.
President Luong Cuong noted that the Embassy needs to do a good job of grasping the local situation, promptly reporting and advising to resolve difficulties and obstacles, contributing to deepening Vietnam-Laos cooperation with practical effectiveness, especially improving the quality of economic cooperation, contributing to supporting friends to overcome difficulties in the spirit of "helping friends is helping ourselves".

Along with that, the Embassy needs to closely coordinate with local authorities in citizen protection work, deploy specific support measures to facilitate the community to stabilize their lives; focus on caring for and supporting people and businesses facing difficulties, acknowledge and resolve the legitimate needs of people living, studying and doing business in Laos; create legal conditions for people to stabilize their lives and work, contributing to the development of the local economy and society of Laos as well as the Vietnam - Laos relationship; promote the opening of Vietnamese language classes for overseas Vietnamese, especially for the younger generation, support overseas Vietnamese to preserve their national identity and turn to their homeland.

Regarding some recommendations and proposals of the Embassy, President Luong Cuong requested that relevant agencies take note and report to competent authorities for consideration, while emphasizing that the Party and State always pay attention and create the most favorable conditions possible in terms of mechanisms and policies to meet the conditions for serving work as well as taking care of the material and spiritual life of cadres and employees; ensuring the treatment of members of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad in accordance with the potential, position and economic conditions of the country in the new situation.

* Previously, President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited and laid wreaths at President Suphanouvong Memorial House.
Moved when visiting the President Suphanouvong Memorial House, President Luong Cuong expressed his admiration for the life and career of President Suphanouvong, a staunch revolutionary leader, an outstanding son of the Lao people, a close comrade and friend of the Vietnamese people, who made great contributions to building and developing the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
Writing in the Golden Book of Remembrance, President Luong Cuong stated, “Each artifact, photo, and document on display vividly depicts the revolutionary life of President Suphanouvong, helping viewers better understand the arduous path of struggle he went through, the revolutionary ideals and career of the outstanding leader of the 20th century, who left a deep impression in the hearts of generations of people of the two countries.”
President Luong Cuong affirmed that together with Lao co-leaders, he will make every effort to foster the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Laos and Vietnam, so that it will continuously blossom and bear fruit as desired by generations of leaders who have worked hard to cultivate it.
* The President also visited and wished good health to Ms. Thongvin Phomvihane, wife of the late General Secretary and President of Laos Kaysone Phomvihane.
* On the evening of April 25, President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Wattay International Airport for Hanoi, successfully concluding the State visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
