President Vo Van Thuong receives delegation of Tanzania's ruling Revolutionary Party

On May 18, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Vo Van Thuong received a delegation of the ruling Revolutionary Party (CCM) in Tanzania led by Mr. Abdulrahman Omar Kinana, Politburo member and Vice President of the CCM, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders,President Vo Van Thuong welcomed the CCM Party delegation to visit and work in Vietnam right after the 10th National Congress of the CCM Party; saying that this is an opportunity for leaders of the two Parties and two countries to exchange opinions and assess the international situation, bilateral relations and focus on cooperation orientations in the coming time.

President Vo Van Thuong received Mr. Abdulrahman Omar Kinana, Vice President of the ruling Revolutionary Party of Tanzania.

President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that Vietnam always closely follows the situation and is pleased to witness Tanzania's achievements in maintaining economic growth, improving people's lives, enhancing its prestige and international role in the East African region in particular and in Africa in general. The President expressed his belief that with six decades of experience in power, the support of the people and international friends, the CCM Party and the State of Tanzania will gain many more great achievements on the path of national construction and development.

Vice President of the CCM Party Abdulrahman Omar Kinana respectfully conveyed the greetings and invitation of President of the CCM Party, President Samia Suluhu Hassan to the President to visit Tanzania; expressed the honor of leading a high-ranking delegation of the CCM Party to visit and work in Vietnam. He shared his impressions and admiration for Vietnam's heroic historical tradition of struggle and great achievements of historical significance in economic development and ensuring social security.

Mr. Abdulrahman Omar Kinana affirmed the consistent policy of the CCM Party and the State of Tanzania in consolidating the good traditional relationship and promoting substantive cooperation with the Party and State of Vietnam. On this occasion, the Tanzanian leaders highly appreciated the contributions of Halotel Company, a telecommunications joint venture invested by Viettel Group in Tanzania, to the socio-economic development of the neighboring country; committed to creating all favorable conditions for the investment and business activities of Halotel Company in particular and Vietnamese enterprises investing in Tanzania in general.

The two leaders agreed to expand and enhance the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation such as exchanging delegations at all levels; sharing experiences in national leadership; cooperating in training and fostering officials; facilitating trade and investment activities; cooperating in the fields of agriculture, processing industry, science and technology, telecommunications, digital transformation, etc.; encouraging cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges; closely coordinating in international multilateral forums, acting as a bridge for each other to expand cooperation with the two regions, for the benefit of each Party and each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development.

On this occasion, President Vo Van Thuong sent his regards and invited the Chairman of the CCM Party and the President of Tanzania to arrange an official visit to Vietnam at an appropriate time.
