Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than holds the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo 's Decision to the new Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than.

On the morning of November 11, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Attending the conference were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Hoang Dang Quang; Party Central Committee member, Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia; Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung; Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4 Major General Doan Xuan Buong; along with members of the Central Inspection Commission , Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, leaders of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee.

The leaders of Nghe An province included Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

At the conference, Party Central Committee member and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Hoang Dang Quang announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

The Politburo decided that Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 20th term, 2025-2030 term.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Nguyen Khac Than and Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, term XVIII, 2025-2030.

At the ceremony, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's Decision and presented flowers to congratulate the new Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was born in 1974, hometown Phu Duc commune, Hung Yen province, professional qualification: Master of Economic Management, advanced political theory qualification.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than has held the following positions: Deputy Director of the People's Procuracy; Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Vice Chairman, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu district; Secretary of the Quynh Phu District Party Committee (Thai Binh province); Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Thai Binh province; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province for the 2016-2021 term; Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province for the 2016-2021 term.

In November 2020, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was Deputy Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2020-2025, and was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee.

In December 2024, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected as Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. On July 1, 2025, he was transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province for the 2021-2026 term.
