On May 20, the working delegation of Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee conducted a field inspection, directed and handled the safety risks for Ta Khoa Secondary School; Deo Chen village school belonging to Hua Nhan Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Hua Nhan Commune, Bac Yen District. Accompanying were leaders of departments, branches, and professional agencies of the province .

Deo Chen school is located next to National Highway 37 and was built in 2003. Since 2008, the entire school is located in the sliding area of ​​the mountain range, and every year there are landslides and slides, posing a potential risk to the safety of property and the lives of teachers and students . Currently, the row of 4-room houses for students has tilted about 15 degrees, and there are many large cracks in the campus. Since October 2023, Deo Chen school has been closed, and all students have been moved to study and live at Cay Khe and Ho Sen schools in Hua Nhan commune and Pa No school in Muong Khoa commune Primary School.

In early May , in Ta Khoa commune and neighboring communes, there was heavy rain causing the stream water to rise and overflow into the school, flooding the entire school grounds, the deepest part was about 1 meter, bringing with it a lot of mud and alluvium burying the school yard, affecting the learning and living activities of the school; endangering the lives of students, staff, teachers and employees in the school. Immediately after the flood occurred, the People's Committee of Bac Yen district directed the implementation of a number of temporary solutions to continue maintaining learning.

After inspecting the schools, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh highly appreciated the efforts to overcome the consequences of natural disasters in Bac Yen district . Sharing and encouraging teachers and students to quickly stabilize teaching and learning, ensuring the safety of equipment . At the same time, he agreed with the proposal to relocate affected schools and schools at risk of insecurity, assigning Bac Yen district to coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and units to survey and have a relocation plan to ensure compliance with regulations.
