Bau Pagoda organizes Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist year 2568

On the morning of May 21, Bau Pagoda, Lien Bao Ward, Vinh Yen City held the Buddha's Birthday Ceremony, Buddhist calendar 2568 - Gregorian calendar 2024. Attending were Comrade Lai Huu Tuyen, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Vinh Yen City and Venerable monks and nuns of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee.

Buddha's Birthday is an occasion for Buddhists and the public to review the noble life, selfless teachings, full of love and wisdom of Buddha Shakyamuni.

After the Buddha's name chanting ceremony, saluting the national and religious flags, the monks, nuns, and Buddhists solemnly listened to the Buddha's Birthday Message of Buddhist calendar 2568 - Gregorian calendar 2024 from Most Venerable Elder Thich Tri Quang, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, to monks, nuns, and Buddhists at home and abroad; and the Buddha's Birthday speech by Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

The Venerables and the entire congregation solemnly performed the Buddha's Birthday offering rituals such as burning incense, offering flowers, chanting, dedicating merit, releasing doves and balloons... praying for world peace and happiness for all living beings.
