Kompongnigrodha Pagoda (Kompong Chray Pagoda) was built in 1637, located in Hamlet 4, Chau Thanh Town, Chau Thanh District, Tra Vinh Province. The pagoda is surrounded by hundreds of ancient trees like stars, with ages up to hundreds of years, attracting many species of birds to live, creating a cool, quiet green space. In particular, Kompongnigrodha Pagoda is also considered a beautiful architectural complex, the space surrounding the relic is a river and lake, the location near the market creates a unique ecological landscape, making the relic both ancient, majestic and poetic, gentle, with a rustic lifestyle that is difficult to find anywhere else.

Kompongnigrodha Pagoda is not only a religious and belief center that plays an important role in the spiritual life of the local Khmer people, but also a typical cultural and tourist symbol of Tra Vinh province. This is also a place to preserve and promote the unique traditional cultural and artistic values of the Khmer people through moraleducation activities, opening classes to teach the Khmer Pali language to monks and Buddhists. In addition, the pagoda also organizes training classes to teach wood carving to monks and people.
The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Heads of relevant provincial departments and branches and Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee to preserve, restore and promote the value of the relic in accordance with current regulations.
