Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Diep Mai said that up to now, preparations for organizing activities to celebrate the 137th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birthday (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2025) have been basically completed, from the venue, time, content, guests, budget, logistics... Accordingly, there will be 2 main ceremonies, including: Flower offering ceremony at President Ton Duc Thang Monument, Long Xuyen ward, at 7:00 a.m. on August 20; incense offering ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m. on August 20, at President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Site, My Hoa Hung commune.

Activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) will include: Visiting pre-uprising comrades and veteran revolutionary cadres; incense and flower offering ceremonies to commemorate heroic martyrs at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery; art programs and fireworks displays in wards and special zones: Rach Gia, Phu Quoc (low-altitude fireworks display expected); Ha Tien, Chau Doc, Long Xuyen (artistic fireworks display expected); participating in the exhibition of socio -economic achievements at the National Exhibition Center...

In addition, the province launched a patriotic emulation movement to achieve achievements to celebrate the event, associated with the successful implementation of targets and tasks for socio-economic development, national defense, security and the emulation movement to implement national target programs in 2025; the action program to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, to celebrate major holidays in 2025.
