Carefully prepare and solemnly organize the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day

VHO - On the afternoon of August 13, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh chaired a meeting to review the organization of the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and towards the 80th Anniversary of National Day, September 2. Attending the meeting were leaders of units under the Ministry.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day is an important event, expressing gratitude to previous generations with great contributions to the sector.

Along with that, the event aims to arouse the spirit of excitement, enthusiasm, and determination to strive in the entire industry to complete important tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and people; especially among the youth.

“With pride, sense of responsibility and dedication, we must make every effort to successfully organize the event, both to arouse the pride of those who are committed to and dedicated to the Cultural Sector, and to express gratitude to the generations who have contributed to building and developing the Sector,” emphasized Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.

According to Decision No. 2789/QD-BVHTTDL dated August 4, 2025 on promulgating the Plan to organize the Ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), activities are organized to review the tradition, history of formation and development of the Cultural Sector.

Looking back at the achievements, marks and outstanding results of the entire Cultural Sector over the past 80 years to gain a deeper, more complete and comprehensive understanding of the important role and position of culture in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; as well as in realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the new era, the era of national growth.

At the meeting, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Cao Le Tuan Anh presented a progress report on preparations for the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day.

Leaders of the Departments, Divisions, and functional units of the Ministry also reported on the implementation of assigned tasks such as emulation and rewards, mockup design, videos , information, communication, art programs, etc. At the same time, they proposed a number of recommendations to the Ministry's leaders.

After receiving comments at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the units in the Ministry in preparing for the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day.

The Deputy Minister said that despite having to carry out a large amount of work to prepare for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the units have promoted the highest sense of responsibility, mobilizing maximum forces to carry out assigned tasks, including arising tasks.

Emphasizing that there is not much time left until the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector’s Traditional Day while the amount of work to be carried out is huge, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh requested units to concentrate highly on completing key tasks; not only preparing for the Sector’s event but also for activities within the framework of the country’s great celebration.
