After nearly two months of implementing the competition plan at the grassroots level, the 2025 Children's Book and Newspaper Storytelling Competition has attracted thousands of children in districts and counties to participate in reading and storytelling activities at the library, participating in script building, practicing and competing with the team. Through the competition round at the grassroots level, the Organizing Committee selected 10 excellent teams with nearly 400 young and children team members to attend, representing thousands of children in the city. At the final round, the students introduced good books such as: "Bach Dang Giang Spirit - Pride of Hai Phong Port", "Cat Bi Brave Soldiers", "Memories of Ships Without Numbers" ... along with illustrative singing and dancing performances, making the competition more lively and exciting.
With the theme “Hai Phong - Forever blooming flower seasons”, the contest brings to the children knowledge about stories, books, and newspapers about the land and people of Hai Phong, about the great contributions of the army and people of Hai Phong in the history of fighting and defending the Fatherland, about Hai Phong city in 70 years of construction and development.
Building and developing a reading culture is one of the important policies of the Party and the State. Over the past years, Hai Phong city has implemented the development of reading culture in many forms. The organization of the Children's Contest to promote storytelling about books and newspapers in 2025 aims to promote and form the habit of reading books among young people, contributing to improving the quality of reading culture in the city; promoting the development of reading culture among the people.
The 2025 Children's Book and Newspaper Storytelling Contest creates a useful playground, an opportunity for children to review the history and culture of the country and the city; toeducate revolutionary traditions, thereby educating children in the spirit of national pride. Promote the formation and development of good qualities, help children strive to become good children, good students, good Team members, good children of Uncle Ho, thereby forming and building goals and directions for themselves.
This is an annual activity that takes place every summer with diverse themes for children across the city. At the same time, it is one of the practical and meaningful activities that attracts the attention and support of society for activities for children.
