Hai Phong Telecommunications Party Committee sets strong growth target, affirms key role in digital age

The Hai Phong Telecommunications Party Committee is a grassroots Party Committee under the City People's Committee Party Committee, currently with 350 Party members operating in 13 Party cells. The Party Committee leads VNPT enterprises in the area to carry out production and business tasks in the field of telecommunications - information technology, ensuring communication to serve the city's government, businesses and people. At the same time, coordinate to effectively carry out defense and security tasks in the locality.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee has fully completed the main targets set out in the Congress Resolution. Total revenue in the area is expected to reach 1,200 billion VND by the end of 2025, an increase of 20% compared to the beginning of the term. Core and strategic services have all grown beyond the industry average. Fixed broadband services maintain their position in the top 10 units of VNPT Group, accounting for about 50% of the Internet market share in Hai Phong. In 2024, service revenue increased by 112%, the number of subscribers increased by 14.54%. Mobile services recorded a market share increase of more than 4%, subscribers increased by 5.38%, ranking second in the Group in terms of revenue plan completion rate. MyTV television service has impressive growth, with revenue increasing by more than 88%, the number of subscribers increased by 68.8% compared to the beginning of the term. The unit's profit increased steadily every year, with the total difference between revenue and expenditure for the entire term of nearly 1,700 billion VND, averaging 340 billion VND/year, an increase of 31% compared to the first year of the term. The total budget contribution is estimated at nearly 320 billion VND; VNPT Hai Phong has been rewarded for many consecutive years for fulfilling its tax obligations well.

In addition to production and business results, the unit maintains stable jobs and income for nearly 1,000 workers. Party building work has achieved many outstanding results, the rate of Party membership admission reached 130% compared to the Congress target, equal to 119% of the additional target assigned by the City Party Committee.

The unit also affirmed its core role in the digital transformation and building of the city's digital government. VNPT Hai Phong has deployed many technology systems to serve administrative reform and smart management; strongly developed telecommunications infrastructure with 472 4G stations, 42 5G stations; and led in undergrounding urban technical infrastructure. Many digital transformation solutions have been effectively applied to state agencies, businesses and people in the city.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Hai Phong Telecommunications Party Committee has determined the general goal of strongly innovating leadership methods, building a clean, strong and comprehensive Party Committee; affirming the key role of pioneering technology enterprises in the area; accompanying the city's breakthrough development and contributing to the common mission of VNPT Group, together with the country to rise up in the digital age.

Regarding the implementation of political tasks, the unit aims to develop the enterprise effectively, comprehensively completing the production and business plan targets assigned by the Group. In particular, total revenue in the area in the period of 2026-2030 will increase by at least 25% compared to the period of 2021-2025; annual profit will reach over 100% of the assigned plan. VNPT Hai Phong continues to maintain stable employment, ensure sustainable income growth for employees; fully perform financial obligations to the Group and the local budget. Along with that, the unit affirms its pioneering role in digital transformation, contributing to promoting the construction of digital government, digital economy and digital society in Hai Phong. At the same time, actively participate in social security programs, for community life; ready to meet the requirements of security, defense and disaster prevention tasks in all situations./.
