The 2025 National Youth (U13) and Children (U11) Football Tournament Qualifiers in Hai Phong are co-organized by the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers, and the Vietnam Football Federation.
The Children's Tournament (U11) opens at 7:40 a.m. on June 7 at the Youth Culture and Sports Palace (45 Lach Tray, Ngo Quyen District). The Youth Tournament (U13) opens at 6:30 p.m. the same day at Lach Tray Stadium (17 Lach Tray, Ngo Quyen).
The qualifying round in Hai Phong attracted nearly 800 members, including coaches and athletes. The U13 tournament had 360 athletes from 12 teams such as Hanoi, Hanoi Police, Dong A Thanh Hoa, HADUWACO Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Lao Cai, Hai Phong Football Federation, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, PVF and The Cong Viettel , competing in a round-robin, divided into 3 groups.
The U11 tournament gathered 440 athletes from 22 teams, including Bac Kan, Blue Sky, Hanoi , Hanoi Police, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, HYS Hanoi Club, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Hanoi and Hai Phong Football Federation, Nam Dinh, Phu Dong Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, divided into 4 groups for round-robin scoring.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Thi To Trang emphasized that the Youth Football Tournament (U13) and Children's Football Tournament (U11) is a healthy playground, helping to develop the youth football movement, while discovering and nurturing football talents for the country. Through exciting matches, children not only practice physical strength but also cultivate team spirit, courage and discipline - essential qualities for comprehensive development.
The Deputy Director also affirmed that the tournament is an opportunity for localities to discover and nurture young talents, contributing to building a legacy resource for Vietnamese sports. The qualifying round is not only a professional stepping stone but also conveys the message "Healthy to study, work and protect the Fatherland" to families, schools and the community. Therefore, it is recommended that units coordinate closely in reviewing professional conditions, facilities, checking food safety at hotels, and arranging emergency forces to ensure safety for the tournament. The city police will organize traffic flow, ensuring security and order throughout the tournament. Clubs need to strictly implement the regulations, while the referee team must work impartially and objectively for the tournament to be a great success./.
