The 2025 Summer Program in Ngo Quyen District began with 24 practical activities, expected to benefit more than 23,000 children, with a total cost of more than VND 1.1 billion. Many meaningful activities were implemented, such as giving birthday gifts to 180 disadvantaged children, organizing an International Children's Day with the participation of 7,400 children, and communicating about drowning prevention, violence, abuse and online fraud to more than 11,000 students at 22 schools.
The program also presented 613 gifts to disadvantaged children, organized life skills clubs with more than 630 children participating, of which 5 small initiatives of children were supported; conducted 136 visits and supported hospital fees and nutrition for 25 children with special difficulties; donated textbooks to 140 children and supported 70 children to complete a 20-day swimming course. In addition, 30 households with children, including 13 near-poor households, were supported with means of production to promote sustainable livelihoods.
In addition, 13 training courses for parents, communities and youth were also organized to improve the capacity to care for, protect and monitor child welfare. The series of activities in response to this year's Action Month for Children with the message "Leave no one behind", aiming for a safe, rewarding and loving summer for children - "Children today, the world tomorrow".
Within the framework of the program, the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen District awarded 18 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to 18 disadvantaged children who have excelled in their studies. At the same time, World Vision International in Vietnam also awarded 30 gifts to disadvantaged children who excelled in their studies in Ngo Quyen District.
