At the press conference, the representative of the host unit, Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Phu Binh emphasized that the Vietnamese community abroad currently has about 5.3 million people, living in more than 100 countries around the world .
Therefore, the consistent policy of the Party and State is to always respect the role of overseas Vietnamese, affirming that they are an inseparable part of the nation and an important resource for national development, as well as developing relations with countries around the world.
The Party and State always strive to support our compatriots to stabilize their lives and integrate into host countries, while promoting the improvement of mechanisms and policies so that overseas Vietnamese can contribute to the country's development; preserve and promote cultural identity and national traditions; teach and learn Vietnamese more effectively...
The Party and State also innovate and improve the quality of foreign propaganda work, helping overseas Vietnamese people understand the situation in the country.
Chairman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Phu Binh expressed his hope that the upcoming Vietnam Imprint program will meet the needs of Vietnamese people abroad, as well as in the country, to better understand the country and people of Vietnam, its history, traditions, identity and intelligence to this day.
Introducing the "Vietnam Imprint" Program, Mr. Mai Phan Dung, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese ( Ministry of Foreign Affairs ) said that the "Vietnam Imprint" Program is one of the important activities responding to the Project "Day of Honoring Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community in the period 2023-2030".
This project was approved by the Prime Minister on August 3, 2022, with the aim of raising awareness of the national language and culture for overseas Vietnamese around the world and international friends, especially the young generation. At the same time, it aims to strongly spread the love of Vietnamese, becoming a driving force to promote the movement of teaching Vietnamese in the community, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of the nation, laying the foundation in a new stage of developing the position of Vietnamese in many areas of community education.
Inspired by the program "Let's speak Vietnamese voices in the world" (June 2022), "Vietnam's Imprint" is invested in many aspects, with creative expressions of visual language in a vivid way with many practical and attractive topics, aiming at a new brand: Bringing Vietnamese values to the world; affirming Vietnamese language, Vietnamese identity, Vietnamese intelligence, Vietnamese image in integration.
Mr. Mai Phan Dung believes that through the new presentation method developed by VTV4, the content of the topics of the program "Vietnam's Imprint" will attract the attention of not only Vietnamese audiences at home and abroad, but also foreign audiences who love the Vietnamese language and culture.
At the same time, "Vietnam's Mark" will truly enter life, becoming a positive mark in cultural life, so that the Vietnamese community abroad will be more attached to their homeland and country, so that the national culture and language will become a source of pride and important baggage in integrating into the cultural life of the host country, accompanying the stability and development of the Vietnamese community abroad and contributing to building a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and countries around the world.
The program "Vietnam's Imprint" will be broadcast from May 2023 to January 2025 on VTV4 channel. The opening episode of the program with the theme "Uncle Ho and the purity of Vietnamese language" will be broadcast on May 19, 2023, on the occasion of the 133rd birthday of the great President Ho Chi Minh.
According to the Organizing Committee, it is expected that there will be 12 topics in 2023 implemented in the "Vietnam Imprint" Program: Uncle Ho with the purity of the Vietnamese language (implemented in May); The image of the Lotus in Vietnamese Buddhist culture (June); Vietnam's imprint in the international humanitarian/peace mission (July); Viet Vo Dao: The imprint of Vietnamese martial arts spreads around the world (August); "Integrating" Eastern and Western medicine in the young medical class (Vinmec-Sao Phuong Dong) (August); The imprint of Associate Professor, Doctor Phan Toan Thang in stem cell technology (September); The journey of Vietnamese rice grains (September); Vietnamese ginseng: Treasure of heaven and earth (October); Photos marking Vietnam on the world tourism map (October); UNESCO with Vietnamese tangible and intangible culture (November); Vietnamese pagodas around the world (November); Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong - a symbol of Vietnamese culture (December).
In addition, the Organizing Committee said that it is possible to carry out some topics such as: Mrs. Bui Thi Hy, the first female entrepreneur in Vietnam, What do the skeletons of Vietnamese people tell us?, Vietnamese people and artificial intelligence, Vietnamese culinary art, Vietnamese fashion makes its mark in Hollywood...
To enhance the value of each topic, the Organizing Committee has decided to establish a Scientific Council consisting of prestigious experts in many fields, to advise from the script stage to program production.
With the gathering of many experts and the attention of the community, it is hoped that "Vietnam's Imprint" will be a program that shines the humanistic values of Vietnam in the development process of the nation and the country; contributing to honoring the beautiful symbol of the kindness of Vietnamese people in the country and in the world. Many typical and outstanding achievements in the fields of politics, economics, culture and society of Vietnam will be promoted and introduced on many domestic and international media.
