Speaking to a reporter from the Lao Dong Newspaper , Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that the department has requested the Hoc Mon District Department of Education and Training to work with Nguyen Van Bua Secondary School. The Department of Education and Training has worked with the school and requested it to temporarily suspend theextracurricular program, rebuild the program content, and submit it to the Department of Education and Training for approval. In addition, the agency also reminded the principal of Nguyen Van Bua Secondary School in the communication work about the extracurricular program, experiential activities; and in the way of communicating with teachers.

According to Mr. Ho Tan Minh, the trip to visit Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ben Nha Rong and Dam Sen Water Park of Nguyen Van Bua Secondary School is an experiential activity in the localeducation subject. This subject for students in grades 6 and 7 includes content about culture, people, and scenic spots in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Minh commented that these are very important contents. In a broader sense, through practical experiential activities, students will be able to develop more experiential skills than "dry" teaching. At the same time, the way of organizing the experience must be humane, scientific, and educational. Thus, the viewpoint and form of organizing the experience of Nguyen Van Bua Secondary School are not worth mentioning. But the way of implementation is not good. Mr. Minh added that if the experiential activity was planned from the beginning, proposed in the subject group and all teachers had to participate in this task, discussed and agreed upon, then including it in the assessment criteria would not be wrong.

However, if there was no consensus from the beginning and the evaluation was based on the teacher competition criteria, it would be incorrect. On the other hand, the school's experiential activities lacked humane elements, did not take into account the plan for disadvantaged students, and the principal's communication that each teacher would receive 10,000 VND/student participating hurt teachers; parents and students did not clearly understand the meaning of the activity.

Regarding the amount of 400,000 VND/student, Mr. Minh said that the price is negotiated between the school and the service provider, depending on the service selection, such as hiring a tour guide, insurance costs...

Previously, social networks were abuzz about a message sent by the Principal of Nguyen Van Bua Secondary School (Hoc Mon District) to teachers in the school. The content of the message was related to mobilizing students to participate in an extracurricular lesson on local education. Saying it is not mandatory so that their parents do not complain and bother them, and then suing them would not be good. However, this is not a normal tour but an extracurricular lesson on local education. The homeroom teacher must let the whole class participate at all costs (except for those parents who are looking for trouble). The tourism side will invite 1 car with 2 teachers to go together and give the homeroom teacher 10,000 VND/student. For any class with too few students going, the teacher will consider evaluating the homeroom teacher in the second quarter.”
