Developing 5G becomes a national strategy
Digital infrastructure is an important highlight mentioned in Resolution 57 with the requirement to remove legal barriers and accelerate the deployment of 5G infrastructure nationwide. Recently, telecommunications businesses have been further empowered in the "race" for 5G coverage when Directive 05/CT-TTg clearly stated that one of the solutions to ensure the growth target of 8% or more in 2025 is to develop telecommunications infrastructure and promote 5G commercialization.
Most recently, at the meeting on May 17, the Prime Minister assessed that the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has initially created strong changes in the development of science , technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Viettel strives to deploy infrastructure, pioneering 5G coverage.
In that strong wave of digital transformation, Viettel not only maintains its leading position in the domestic market but also emerges as one of the first network operators in Vietnam to commercialize 5G from October 2024.
Viettel representative said that at the time of launch, Viettel owned 6,500 5G stations, covering 100% of the centers of major provinces and cities, industrial parks, tourist areas, seaports, airports, hospitals and key universities. Viettel is continuing to invest in infrastructure, installing tens of thousands of 5G broadcasting stations, aiming to develop a 5G network with the leading coverage and quality in Vietnam.

Viettel 5G network has nearly 8 million users.
Data from Viettel shows that after only 8 months of launching, Viettel's 5G network has nearly 8 million users, possessing the fastest deployment speed in the region. In large cities, Viettel's coverage density is high, in Hanoi, 1 in 6 people use Viettel 5G, in Ho Chi Minh City, this ratio is 1/8. Viettel's program of giving away 6GB of free data, encouraging people to "turn on 5G", experience new technology and recognize the practical benefits of 5G in digital life has contributed to realizing the national goal of universalizing digital technology.
Technology train brings high-speed, high-capacity 5G experience
Not stopping at big cities, Viettel continues to make its mark by bringing the “5G Technology Bus” to the people of the Mekong Delta. The program is not only a technology promotion event but also a practical social activity, creating conditions for the community to experience, access and master modern technology.

The program facilitates access to modern technology for people in the West.
Sharing about the significance of the program, Ms. Nguyen Ha Thanh - Deputy General Director of Viettel Telecom - emphasized: "The program is part of Viettel's strategy to implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on digital economic development, contributing to gradually realizing the vision of national digital transformation.
Through the 5G bus to the West, we hope that people will not only have access to the high-speed 5G network, but also experience practical applications that directly serve their daily life, work and study."
This summer, Viettel's "5G Technology Bus" will stop at more than 160 stops in the provinces of Can Tho, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, An Giang, Dong Thap, at places familiar to people such as parks, markets, schools, densely populated areas...
People have the opportunity to test 5G network speed, watch Loto-Show livestream, and experience how to use and control AI artificial intelligence right on the latest Samsung Galaxy A phones.
Not only does it bring technology closer to people in the river area, the program also offers nearly 60,000 attractive gifts, from cool ice cream to sun protection gloves... The network operator hopes to create a bustling atmosphere like a real festival, bringing joy to people at the stops.

Viettel's 5G bus is like a mobile "data charging station" with many useful gifts.
Each Viettel technology vehicle is like a mobile “data charging station”, helping people easily access the preferential super-fast SD125T package with a capacity of up to 300GB/month (10GB/day). Those who want to buy a phone will also receive a Viettel SIM card with 300GB of data.
Lotoshow 5G Viettel takes place at 6:00 p.m. on June 28 at Ben Ninh Kieu Park (Can Tho) and promises to bring the first prize of a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE 128GB phone worth 16.99 million VND, 2 second prizes of a Samsung Galaxy A06 5G 128GB phone worth 3.99 million VND, 30 consolation prizes including many gifts such as travel bags, phone accessories, helmets...

Viettel staff advise people about preferential packages.
Through the “5G Technology Buses”, Viettel helps people in the West change, access knowledge, develop business and integrate more deeply into the constantly moving digital economy. Each bus is a living proof of the digital future - where geographical distances are erased, technology becomes a right, and every person has the opportunity to connect, learn and create on their homeland.
