History seems to have called the name of Coach Tran Dinh Tien's team throughout the journey of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. The army team won all 7 matches in the 2 group stages, overcame both the semi-finals and the thrilling final to make history.

True to the nature of a final match, the two best teams of the tournament gave the audience a breathtaking battle. In particular, The Cong Tan Cang came back to win 26-24 in the fourth game after continuously being behind, bringing the match to the deciding game amid the excitement of a large audience.
Things got easier for the Border Guard Club as they came from 7-7 down to win 15-12. The team won 3-2 on aggregate in the final and successfully defended the Vietnamese championship title won last year.
The Tan Cang The Cong missed their goal of regaining the championship they had been waiting for for the past 9 years. Meanwhile, the Border Guard Club became the third team in history - after Trang An Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City - to step onto the highest podium of Vietnamese men's volleyball for 2 consecutive years.
Statistics also show that no team has ever won all the prestigious domestic volleyball titles in two consecutive years 2024 and 2025, from Hoa Lu Cup, Hung Vuong Cup to the national championship title, like the Border Guard Club.
Vietnam men's volleyball team has a worthy champion after Border Guard Club and Tan Cang Sports Club contributed to the best and most dramatic final match ever. Both military teams are currently the strongest volleyball teams, providing the most members for the national team to compete in the AVC Nations Cup, SEA V-League and the upcoming volleyball event at SEA Games 33.
Meanwhile, Lavie Tay Ninh was the only team relegated in the men's division while Ho Chi Minh City women had to return to the A division after only one season in the National Championship. These were predicted results when both Lavie Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City women's team did not have the proper investment to have the best force to compete with all opponents in the battle to keep their position.
