I'm sick of eating instant noodles, and hesitate to buy bread.
Hoang Kim Ngan (SBD 183), representing Gia Lai province at Miss Universe Vietnam - Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025, is not a strange name to the beauty community. Born in 2001, 1.71m tall, with measurements of 74-56-91cm, she made an impression at Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 when she was only 18 years old and had an outstanding journey at The Face Vietnam 2023.

Talking to VietNamNet, she shared about the most difficult time: "When we first came to Saigon, my sister and I had only 50 thousand and a motorbike. We took turns going to work and going to school. Whoever needed a motorbike would bring a 50 thousand bill, in case the motorbike broke down or something happened, we could still manage."
Kim Ngan in the appraisal night:
During those days, the two sisters had to eat instant noodles continuously until they were fed up, even wanting to buy a loaf of bread, they had to hesitate. Kim Ngan started looking for a job and luckily found a career as a model. She confided: "Many times when I felt pressured and tired, I always encouraged her with the saying: You are still young, still have the strength to work, so keep trying ."
These difficult experiences taught Kim Ngan how to live independently, moderately and always be strong. Once timid and afraid of being judged, she chose to face her fear to grow up.
There are times when I want to give up because of exhaustion and self-doubt.
At the Cosmo camp of Miss Universe Vietnam, Kim Ngan also experienced moments of real uncertainty. There were times when Kim Ngan thought about giving up, not because she was weak, but because she was truly exhausted and doubted herself.
"It was during the difficult times that I saw myself clearly: I knew my strengths and weaknesses, and I realized what skills I lacked," Kim Ngan shared. She did not give up, but slowed down to understand herself, practice, and move forward.

The failure at The Face Vietnam 2023 when stopping at the top 12 also became a valuable lesson. Kim Ngan admitted that she was very sad and doubted her ability, but that feeling urged her to look back and practice from the beginning from demeanor, courage to confidence when performing on stage.
Almost died from electric shock
The person who changed Kim Ngan's life the most was her grandmother. When she was young, she was electrocuted and almost lost her life. Luckily, her grandmother saved her in time.
"Throughout my growing up years, I always saw my grandmother silently sacrificing and caring for each child and grandchild without needing flowery words, just with loving actions," Kim Ngan confided. The biggest lesson she learned from her grandmother was that love does not need to be noisy, just needs to be sincere. That love nurtured in her a grateful heart and a desire to spread love to those around her.

Kim Ngan loves listening to music and doing volunteer work. Music helps her find inner peace whenever she is happy or sad, and volunteering gives her the opportunity to share and love. "It is these simple things that help me nurture my inner strength and maintain my faith in the good things in life," she shared with VietNamNet.

Currently, Kim Ngan has returned to school, while pursuing modeling and content creation. Her return to Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 marks a stronger and more comprehensive version of the Gia Lai beauty.
