Without going to school, she practiced painting by herself from dusty lessons at construction sites, sidewalks, and streets... This girl has turned plain walls and rolling doors into unique works of art.
Although mural painting requires meticulousness and a lot of hard work, for 4 years, Tran Thi Minh Ngoc (23 years old), in Ha Hoa town, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province, has always spread positive energy to "breathe life" into each painting.
Learn to draw
Minh Ngoc had a talent for art since she was young. When she was in high school, Ngoc was asked by her teachers to draw decorations for the classroom. From there, Ngoc began to pay attention to painting murals and determined to pursue her dream, but due to her family's circumstances, she was unable to go to university.
Minh Ngoc and the "million view" work on rolling doors
"After graduating from high school in 2019, I moved to Hanoi to work as a supermarket employee, but because I love drawing, I often go to painters who paint hats and walls on the weekends to ask for some odd jobs such as rolling primer, washing brushes, mixing colors... to earn extra income and learn to draw," Ngoc said.
Following the artists for a while, at the end of 2019, Ngoc decided to quit her job at the supermarket to pursue a career in mural painting after seeing that she had "improved her skills". "When I decided to pursue this career, my family was very worried because this is an unstable job, but I convinced them because if I only worked at the supermarket forever, I would not be able to develop this passion," she said.

Ngoc's works
In the early days of arriving in Hanoi, because she did not have a motorbike, Ngoc often took a technology motorbike taxi to work, but because she was not familiar with the roads, she often got lost and it was very expensive. Not only that, the journey to pursue this job was not too easy.
"I once received a painting assignment for a project in Hai Phong , but because I was slow and not used to the pace, the painting was not smooth and none of the paintings were accepted. Back then, I kept traveling back and forth between Hanoi and Hai Phong to revise all the paintings, always staying up until 1-2 am without daring to quit," she shared.
Ngoc also often finds and connects with young people who share the same passion for art to collaborate on drawing projects. Although the number is very modest, about 3-4 members, they are all enthusiastic young people with creative spirit and from these colleagues, Ngoc learns many skills.
No need to be a knack
