To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District will put into operation the service business - walking street of Ngoc Khanh Lake and its vicinity before October 10, 2024. This will be the second walking street organized in Ba Dinh District.

Ngoc Khanh Lake has an area of ​​about 3.6 hectares, a perimeter of about 750m, located in Ngoc Khanh ward, the center of Ba Dinh district.

Ba Dinh District will arrange stalls and walkways in a way that maintains the main walkway of the street (minimum width of 4.5 - 5m), while ensuring fire prevention and fighting requirements, and maintaining open areas for parking cars when necessary.

The total pavement area when paved on the above-mentioned Pham Huy Thong section is about 3,700m2, of which about 1,900m2 can be used for business activities and organizing entertainment activities for tourists.

Therefore, during the time of organizing the service business street space combined with the walking street, in addition to the service business restaurants including 32 operating restaurants and 6 proposed new restaurants, Ba Dinh district will allow the use of a part of the road area of ​​Pham Huy Thong street to organize and arrange mobile stalls. Specifically, Ba Dinh district will arrange booths to display souvenirs, introduce traditional products and regional specialties under Pham Huy Thong street to serve residents and tourists. At the same time, Ngoc Khanh communal house will be opened to serve visitors and tourists.

According to the investigation data of Ngoc Khanh Ward People's Committee, when Ngoc Khanh residential area comes into operation, it will create more jobs for nearly 450 people.

At the same time, develop a mechanism for collecting fees for management, infrastructure maintenance, and environmental sanitation and submit it to competent authorities for approval.
