(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of September 13, within the framework of the official visit of Mr. Jan Jambon, Minister - Prime Minister of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs , Culture, Information Technology and Infrastructure Management of Flanders, Kingdom of Belgium in Hai Phong , held the Workshop "Sustainable Infrastructure and Smart Logistics".
Overview of the Workshop.
Attending the workshop were: Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho; Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board Le Trung Kien and more than 30 enterprises and organizations from the Flanders region and 40 Vietnamese enterprises in Hai Phong city.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho affirmed that the friendly and cooperative relations between Hai Phong and Belgian organizations and enterprises are constantly developing well. The city currently has 8 FDI projects of investors from the Kingdom of Belgium with a total investment capital of 556 million USD. The projects mainly focus on the fields of industrial park infrastructure business and maritime services, electricity production, hotel investment and business. The workshop will open up new opportunities for cooperation between Hai Phong and partners in the Flanders region, creating a premise for enterprises from the Kingdom of Belgium, Vietnam and Hai Phong city to carry out practical cooperation activities in the future.

Finally, it is necessary to research and develop the R&D Research and Development Center, you can learn from the experience of the Flanders Region to apply to Vietnam”.

The workshop also witnessed the signing ceremony of the Renewable Energy Certificate Purchase Agreement between DEEP C Green Energy Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) and Polarium Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Sweden). Specifically, Polarium Vietnam will purchase Renewable Energy Certificates from DEEP C to become the first company in DEEP C Industrial Park to operate its facilities entirely on renewable energy (100% using green energy).
Camco Technology Joint Stock Company (Kingdom of Belgium) signed a memorandum of understanding with Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal Company Limited (HHIT).
In addition, Camco Technologies NV, Belgium, has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal Company Limited (HHIT). Accordingly, Camco will deploy the automatic gate OCR system and the exclusive STS gantry crane OCR system at HHIT. Through this cooperation, HHIT affirms its goal of closely linking the largest seaport in Northern Vietnam with the European and American markets./.
