On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, closing, VN-Index stopped at 1,655.99 points, up 6.99 points (0.42%); VN30-Index reached 1,897.46 points after "increasing" 11.26 points (0.6%).
The market still increased despite the breadth tilting towards the downside. The entire floor recorded 120 stocks going up and 179 stocks going down. This difference shows that the market is still under pressure to correct today. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price were 12 and 13 respectively.

The market rose thanks to VIC's positive performance. The stock with the largest market capitalization increased by 3.4%, contributing 6.73 points to the VN-Index, nearly equal to the total market points recorded in this session; followed by VJC with 1.76 points, VHM (0.84 points).
Banking stocks are differentiated. While CTG, TCB, MBB, BID are in the group that takes away the most points (all under 0.5 points), VPB, HDB,SHB are in the opposite group.
The industry groups with the most price reductions are the telecommunications services and essential aviation trade, down 2.59% and 1.38%, respectively.
In the rising group, hardware and equipment performed most positively with an increase of 3.17%, real estate increased by 1.7%, insurance (1.02%); the rest increased by less than 1%.
Cautious investors kept liquidity low. Nearly VND20,000 billion was traded on the entire floor. The bright spot was net buying by foreign investors. This group bought nearly VND2,334 billion and sold over VND2,040 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 264.23 points, down 0.8 points (-0.3%); the HNX30-Index fell 3.04 points (-0.52%), down to 577.77 points. Nearly 1,200 billion VND was traded on the entire floor.
