Specifically, currently nationwide, 23/34 provinces and cities have announced the completion of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area (reaching a rate of 67.6%).
The remaining 11 localities are urgently implementing, including: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang (former Ha Giang province), Thai Nguyen (Bac Kan), Ninh Binh (Nam Dinh), Nghe An, Quang Tri (Quang Binh), Lam Dong (Dak Nong), Quang Nam, Dak Lak. This is the province that has started construction of all the houses in need of support for construction and repair, and is expected to announce 100% completion before August 20, 2025.
Over the past year, the country has mobilized a huge amount of resources, over 17,000 billion VND, to support the construction and repair of about 283,000 temporary and dilapidated houses. Of which, the housing support for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas alone reached over 40,000 houses, reaching 200% of the plan.
With the above results, it is expected that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses will be announced as one of 80 special national programs, works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
According to the proposal of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions (the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide), the program summary ceremony and emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" will be held on August 23 in Hanoi .
Within the framework of the ceremony, many groups and individuals will receive Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister./ .
