On the night of October 30 (Vietnam time), Cristiano Ronaldo's eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Junior (nicknamed Cristianinho) made his debut for the Portuguese U16 team in a 2-0 victory over host Turkey at the U16 Confederations Cup.
Ronaldo Jr was brought on in injury time, with Portugal U16s leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Sporting's Samuel Tavares and SC Braga's Rafael Cabral. Ronaldo's son played for Portugal U15s earlier this year, then shone at the Vlatko Markovic U15 Championship in Croatia.
In this tournament, he scored twice in the final with the number 7 shirt. Now he is part of the U16 team. Cristianinho is on the right path and is fully capable of playing alongside his father Ronaldo one day.

Ronaldo, now 40, recently celebrated his 950th career goal. He has also signed a new contract with Al Nassr until 2027, when he will be 42. Ronaldo Jr. is also playing for Al Nassr's youth team and will be 17 when his father's contract ends. If he shows his talent, Ronaldo's son could be promoted to the first team sooner, or even called up to the Portuguese national team, where his father has no intention of retiring.
"I want to play football with my son," Ronaldo said, "But that's not something that worries me too much, because that prospect is in my son's hands more than mine. We'll see."
Ronaldo cannot attend his son's matches. His mother does that for him. Having accompanied her son before, Dolores Aveiro now continues to follow in her grandson's footsteps. "I am very proud of my grandson. He is following in his father's footsteps by representing the team. I will always be there and support him," Cristianinho's grandmother shared.

Cristianinho was born while his father was playing in the 2010 World Cup. He is said to have inherited both his talent and discipline from his father. Since childhood, Ronaldo's eldest son has accompanied his father during his time at Real, Juventus and MU, before moving to Riyadh to play for the Al Nassr youth team.
Cristianinho is 1.85m tall, right-footed, plays as a striker but prefers to move on the left wing, a style similar to Ronaldo in his early years at MU. He is also known for his good technique, finishing ability and physical strength.
"My son is very competitive, just like me. He hates losing. He will be a copy of me. I can be 100% sure. Of course, I really want him to become a football player, because that is his passion, besides his great physique, agility, technique and good kicking. However, I don't want to put pressure on him," Ronaldo Sr. confided about Ronaldo Jr.
