Ronaldo Jr was brought on in injury time, with Portugal U16s leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Sporting's Samuel Tavares and SC Braga's Rafael Cabral. Ronaldo's son played for Portugal U15s earlier this year, then shone at the Vlatko Markovic U15 Championship in Croatia.

"My son is very competitive, just like me. He hates losing. He will be a copy of me. I can be 100% sure. However, I don't want to put pressure on him," Ronaldo Sr. confided about Ronaldo Jr.
