Al Nassr are determined to win the championship, having had an incredibly impressive start to this season's Saudi Pro League with five consecutive wins. Last night, they once again dominated the home team Al Hazm and secured their sixth consecutive victory.
The Portuguese attacking duo of Ronaldo and Joao Felix shone again. In the 25th minute, Joao Felix headed in a goal to give Al Nassr a 1-0 lead, and then Ronaldo coolly struck a shot from inside the penalty area to seal a 2-0 victory for the visitors in the 88th minute.
This goal brings Ronaldo closer to his goal of 1,000 career goals. Interestingly, Ronaldo's latest achievement comes a day after Lionel Messi broke his goalscoring record.
Earlier, Messi scored two goals in Inter Miami's 3-1 victory over Nashville in Major League Soccer (MLS), bringing the superstar's career total to 891.
At the age of 38 years and 122 days, Messi surpassed Ronaldo to become the youngest player to reach 890 career goals, while the Portuguese striker achieved this milestone at the age of 39 years and 89 days. Furthermore, the Argentinian player also played fewer matches (1,131 games) compared to Ronaldo's 1,220 games.
