The number of people waiting to buy is 3 - 4 times the number of tickets sold.

Tickets for Westlife 's The Wild Dreams concert in Vietnam were officially distributed through the online platform Ticketbox, and went on sale at 9am on September 26. About an hour before, many fans were ready to "hunt for tickets", even going to internet cafes with strong internet connections to confidently embark on the ticket-buying journey.

However, according to many viewers, about 5-10 minutes before the G hour, the ticket sales page had problems. Nhi (28 years old) shared with Thanh Nien : "10 minutes before the ticket sales started, I couldn't access the website, but by 9:00, the website was back to normal. I was lucky to get in right at 9:00 so I didn't have to wait, and I was able to buy 5 tickets for my friends, but I couldn't choose adjacent seats, I could only buy single tickets in the same stands. After buying these 5 tickets, I went back to the website to buy more for my friends, but it was already after thousands of people. In the end, I couldn't buy anything else."

Similar to Nhi, Lan (29 years old) "went through a lot of pain" to get tickets for a Westlife concert in Vietnam. Lan went to the website to buy tickets as soon as the system opened for sale but kept encountering problems with choosing seats and paying. "I intended to buy for the whole group of friends, but when it came time to pay, I kept encountering errors and being kicked out of the website. In the end, I had to buy individually and chose CAT 2 area with a price of 3.1 million VND/ticket instead of CAT 3 with a price of 2.1 million VND/ticket as originally planned," Lan recounted.

Tieu Thao (25 years old) was also lucky to buy tickets conveniently thanks to "mobilizing" friends to "hunt for tickets". As a result, she and her friend got 3 tickets next to each other in the CAT 6 area (priced at 850,000 VND/ticket). "When we got to the ticket purchase page, the CAT 6 area only had less than 10 empty seats. We were happy to have bought tickets. At first, we were a bit worried that the "old" guys didn't have as many fans as before. If the tickets weren't enough to meet the demand, the show would be canceled. I didn't expect it to be sold out like this, it's amazing", Tieu Thao said.

However, not everyone was as lucky as Nhi, Lan and Tieu Thao. Ms. Luu Phuong (35 years old) was able to access the ticket sales website at 9:02 but had to go to the waiting room, behind more than 10,000 accounts. Ms. Phuong expressed: "I planned to buy the lower stands but when I got to the site, I saw the stadium map was all red (sold seats). I also saw empty seats but couldn't choose. I was really surprised because the tickets for this event were sold out so quickly."

Sharing with Thanh Nien , the organizers of the Westlife concert in Vietnam also did not expect the tickets to sell out so quickly. "We also predicted that the event would sell out, but we did not expect it to be so fast. The number of guests in the waiting room waiting to buy tickets was sometimes 3-4 times the number of tickets sold," the organizers announced.

Looking forward to the black market or Westlife adding more shows

When tickets for Westlife 's The Wild Dreams concert in Ho Chi Minh City went on sale, CAT 3, 4, 5 and 6 stands (priced from 2.1 million VND/ticket to 850,000 VND/ticket) were immediately sold out. The two areas with high prices, CAT 1 and 2 (4 million VND/ticket and 3.1 million VND/ticket) were also gradually covered in red with sold out seats. Finally, the event's ticket sales page quickly switched to "Sold Out" mode after more than 1 hour of opening for sale.

After that, the black market for tickets became bustling with buyers, but no one was selling. In a group specializing in trading concert tickets in Vietnam, many netizens expressed their eagerness to get tickets for Westlife 's The Wild Dreams concert in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, many fans also complained that the concert tickets were sold out too quickly. Some netizens said that they had paid but the system reported that the ticket purchase had failed for unknown reasons. Therefore, they had to find tickets on the black market.

Some fans said they would be happy to buy tickets in any of the stands, and were willing to pay more than the original price to see their childhood idols perform in their home country. In particular, many fans hoped that Westlife would hold another show in Vietnam.

The fact that Westlife 's The Wild Dreams concert in Ho Chi Minh City quickly sold out shows the great appeal of this band in Vietnam and partly because the ticket prices are quite reasonable compared to the income of most Vietnamese people.
