Accordingly, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, Bac Ninh Provincial Police received a report from the public about a murder case at the WOO BIN clothing store, located at 276 Tran Hung Dao Street, Dai Phuc Ward, Bac Ninh City.
Earlier, at around 2:50 p.m. today, Ms. Ngo Thi P. (born in 1996, in Phu Cuong, Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen ), a saleswoman, temporarily residing in Dai Phuc ward, Bac Ninh city, was stabbed multiple times in the head, neck, abdomen, and chest by a young man, leading to her death. After committing the crime, the subject fled the scene.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police directed the Criminal Police Department and the Criminal Techniques Department of the Provincial Police to coordinate with Bac Ninh City Police to conduct a crime scene investigation, autopsy and arrest the suspect.
Initial investigation determined that the suspect is Nguyen Van Hiep (born in 1986 in Trung Thanh, Pho Yen, Thai Nguyen). This person has a wife and children living in Thai Nguyen.
According to witness testimony, Hiep came to see Ms. Ph. at the store many times at noon.
At about 2:45 p.m. on October 17, Hiep went to the store and met Ms. Ph. During the conversation, Ms. Ph. and Hiep had a conflict and argued. Hiep used a sharp knife to stab her 8 times in the head, neck, chest, and abdomen, causing her to die on the spot.
At the scene, the investigation agency seized a bloody knife. After committing the crime, Hiep drove a blue taxi, license plate 99E – 002.59, and fled the scene.
At around 4:30 p.m. on October 17, provincial police forces found a car with the above characteristics parked on Thanh Tri Bridge, Hanoi .
In the car, the police seized 1 mobile phone and 1 leather wallet containing personal documents of Hiep.
During the process of taking witness statements, it was determined that at about 3:40 p.m. the same day, a young man drove the car to and parked on Thanh Tri bridge, then jumped from the bridge into the Red River.
The Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police is continuing to direct forces to focus on investigating the case and finding the perpetrator.
