Prosecution of former Secretary of Luong Tai District Party Committee, Bac Ninh

On March 14, Bac Ninh Provincial Police informed that, implementing the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, the Investigation Police Agency expanded the investigation into the criminal case of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" that occurred in Gia Binh town, Gia Binh district.

Based on the investigation results, on March 13, Bac Ninh Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute, search the residence and prohibit Mr. Le Tuan Hong (58 years old, former Secretary of Luong Tai District Party Committee) from leaving his place of residence for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties", as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 356 of the 2015 Penal Code.

Mr. Le Tuan Hong was banned from leaving his place of residence by the authorities.

The above Decisions and Orders have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Bac Ninh province in accordance with the provisions of law.

Previously, on March 1, the Office of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee informed the results of the 2nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee in February 2024, which took place on February 27. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee voted to discipline Mr. Le Tuan Hong, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Luong Tai District Party Committee (term XXII, term 2020 - 2025) with a warning.

Mr. Hong was disciplined because during his time as a member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Gia Binh District People's Committee (from July 2011 to June 2014), Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Binh District People's Committee (from July 2014 to August 2019), he committed serious violations and shortcomings in land management, causing damage to the State budget and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and individuals.

Mr. Le Tuan Hong held the position of Vice Chairman of Gia Binh District People's Committee from July 2011 to June 2014, Chairman of Gia Binh District People's Committee from July 2014 to August 2019.

In September 2019, Mr. Hong was transferred and appointed to the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Tai district. From January 2021 to present, Mr. Hong has held the position of Secretary of the Luong Tai District Party Committee for the 22nd term, 2020 - 2025.
