This is an event jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

“Moving Forward with Vietnam” is a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a special moment when the whole country is entering a new development phase along with the rearrangement of administrative units. For the first time, a walking activity was held simultaneously in 34 provinces, cities and 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.

In Dak Lak province, the program takes place at the same time from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10/3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province.

Each province is expected to have from 5,000 to 6,000 people including civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, youth members, students from universities located in the area and all classes of people participating in the activities. Participants are encouraged to wear red flag and yellow star shirts, while armed forces should wear uniforms according to each force.

All participated in the flag-raising ceremony and singing of the National Anthem at 6:00 a.m. on August 16, following the time frame of the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, to create a solemn and sacred atmosphere, expressing patriotism and national pride, and practically celebrating the country's important day.

Then, everyone joined in a walk of about 2km with the aim of spreading the message "One billion steps into the new era", contributing to promoting propaganda about the benefits and effects of physical exercise, improving physical and mental health, and at the same time encouraging the movement of the whole people to participate in physical exercise, responding to the Campaign "The whole people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho and the healthy movement to build and protect the Fatherland".

In addition, through the activities of the program "Advancing with Vietnam", it also contributes to introducing the beauty of Dak Lak province in particular and the country and people of Vietnam in general through the project "Love Vietnam" - a place to connect emotions, spread the image of the homeland to international friends, and at the same time encourage people to experience and promote tourism through the check-in system at more than 200 locations across the country, contributing to building a modern, friendly and unique national tourism brand.

From now until August 16, 2025, people in Dak Lak and the whole country can register to participate on the official electronic information portal: https://www.cungvietnamtienbuoc.nhandan.vn and start recording their steps to contribute to the journey with the message "One billion steps towards a new era". This is a practical activity, demonstrating patriotism, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the country's Net Zero goal.
