At the conference, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Do Trong Hung announced the Politburo's Decision approving comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council , to hold the position of Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Presenting the decision and delivering a speech assigning tasks to the new Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung congratulated comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam on his new position, and expressed his belief that comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam will excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam was born in 1973 in Ea Pok town, Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province.

Professional qualification: Master of Public Administration; Political theory qualification: Advanced.

He used to work at the Department of Management and Supervision under Dak Lak Customs; Deputy Head of the Department of Party Cells and Party Members, Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Deputy Secretary of Buon Ma Thuot City Party Committee; Secretary of Cu M'gar District Party Committee; Secretary of Buon Ma Thuot City Party Committee; Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, and Member of the 15th National Assembly.

At the first session of the 15th National Assembly, he was elected as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the 15th National Council; Chairman of the Vietnam - Canada Friendship Parliamentarians' Group (November 2021).
