On the morning of June 18, Khanh Son District People's Committee held a ceremony to announce Hon Dung Community Tourism Village (Son Hiep Commune) as a potential location for community tourism development in the province. Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Khanh Son District; Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association; a number of tourism and travel agencies in the province; tourism service establishments and people of Hon Dung Village.
At the ceremony, Khanh Son District People's Committee announced Decision No. 221, dated January 23, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on recognizing Hon Dung Village Community Tourism Village as a location with potential for community tourism development in the province; Son Hiep Commune People's Committee announced the decision to establish and launch the Hon Dung Village Community Tourism Village Management Board, with 16 members.

Hon Dung village is one of the four villages with a large number of ethnic minorities in Son Hiep commune, with a favorable geographical location, near the center of To Hap town and famous landmarks of Khanh Son district; has a cool climate all year round, with many unique fruit gardens. After 4 years of construction, Hon Dung village was assessed to have met 20/20 criteria for potential for community tourism development; in January 2025, it was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a location with potential for community tourism development.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the local government and people of Hon Dung village have a roadmap to soon complete the criteria for community tourism to be recognized as an attractive community tourism destination, thereby contributing to improving the income and life of local people. At the same time, it is necessary to have new ways to protect and effectively exploit tourism resources, preserve and promote national cultural identity, and create green - clean - beautiful landscapes to serve tourists; focus on communication, promotion and advertising of Hon Dung village's tourism image. The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association continue to support Hon Dung village in training human resources, promoting and building tours and routes to bring tourists to Hon Dung village community tourism village...
