The provincial Industry and Trade Union promotes the work of caring for and improving the lives of workers.

With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, improving the lives of union members and workers, every year, the Provincial Industry and Trade Union directs grassroots unions to develop plans, coordinate with agencies, units, and enterprises to focus on innovating activities to care for union members and workers through specific activities such as: organizing conferences for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and labor conferences; organizing dialogue conferences between employers and workers and trade unions on implementing grassroots democracy regulations. In 2024, 100% of administrative and career units coordinated with professional units to well organize conferences for cadres and civil servants; 11/14 production and business units with stable jobs organized labor conferences, reaching a rate of 78.6%. Implementing the program "Improving the quality of negotiation, signing and effective implementation of collective labor agreements", the Industry Union continues to guide, urge and help grassroots unions to participate with employers in developing regulations on salary, bonus and labor norms; propose solutions to improve working conditions; care for the lives of union members and employees; propose and negotiate with employers to improve the quality of shift meals, organize cultural, sports and social activities in agencies, units and enterprises. Up to now, 19/22 units in the industry have organized the signing of collective labor agreements.

To raise awareness and help employees protect themselves in labor relations, the Industry Union coordinated with the Legal Consulting Office (Provincial Labor Federation) to organize a legal consulting conference for 250 workers of Son Nam Textile Joint Stock Company. The Industry Union's legal consulting team provided advice and guidance on procedures for resolving policies in accordance with regulations for nearly 20 employees on policies when terminating labor contracts. Organizing conferences, seminars, and talks to disseminate legal contents to hundreds of employees on labor, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, occupational safety and hygiene (OSH), traffic safety, prevention and control of social evils, health care, etc. In 2024, in response to the OSH Action Month with the theme "Strengthening OSH at the workplace and in the supply chain", the Provincial Industry and Trade Union launched 100% of grassroots trade unions to promote activities to prevent occupational accidents and diseases; coordinate with the team of occupational safety and hygiene workers to apply information technology, social networks, and internal radio to inform and disseminate policies, causes, risks, and hazards of occupational accidents and diseases. Carry out inspection and self-inspection to promptly detect and overcome unsafe risks, handle violations of OSH and fire prevention and fighting. Regularly review and supplement safe working procedures and measures, fire prevention and fighting in departments and workshops; self-check, review and assess safety risks for machinery, equipment and materials with strict requirements on occupational safety and health. Most units organize cleaning activities, plant trees, ensure green - clean - beautiful - safe criteria in the enterprise; many trade unions organize fire prevention and fighting training and organize periodic medical examinations, typically the Joint Stock Companies: Nam Ha Garment, Song Hong Garment, Steel Mesh have organized medical examinations for more than 11 thousand employees.

In addition, the Provincial Trade Union of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Trade Union to grasp the situation of labor relations, supervise the implementation of salary and bonus policies at the units. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, most units awarded the 13th month salary to employees; Trade Unions at all levels subsidized 630 union members and employees in difficult circumstances with a total of 315 million VND; presented gifts to 11,877 union members and employees with a total of more than 6 billion VND; supported 100 union members to participate in the "Union Tet Market" program through the e-commerce trading floor supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and organized "Tet Sum Vay" at Son Nam Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company.

Along with the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees, the Provincial Industry and Trade Union has closely followed the direction of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union to actively promote patriotic emulation movements among employees, in which the emulation movement "Excellent workers, creative workers" has been deployed to 100% of affiliated trade unions. 95% of trade unions launched excellent workers movements and sent annual emulation registrations to the industry trade union. In 2024, the movement of initiative, thrift, and creative workers among employees was maintained and made a positive contribution to the production and business results of the units, the whole industry had 102 initiatives with a value of over 200 million VND. Emulation movements specifically for female employees such as the movement "Good at public work - good at housework" were responded to and actively participated by 100% of employees in trade union organizations; As a result, the whole industry has more than 5,000 female employees achieving the emulation title of "Good at public work, good at housework" at all levels. The industry's trade union has organized seminars and talks on gender for 70 members of the Women's Club and female union officials with the topic "Reproductive health care for female employees". The Women's Union Committees of the grassroots trade union coordinate with the trade union and professional organizations to organize meetings, seminars to propagate,educate , and mobilize employees in the industry to implement the reproductive health care program, raise children, and ensure family life. Every year, the grassroots trade union coordinates with enterprises to organize periodic health check-ups for nearly 9,000 female employees; organize gift giving on International Women's Day (March 8) and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20); Organized visits and gifts for 9,335 children of employees with a total amount of more than 500 million VND on the occasion of the Month of Action for Children, International Children's Day (June 1) and the end of the school year. Identifying the development of union members as one of the important factors of the Trade Union organization, the Industry Trade Union coordinated with the professional sector to develop a plan to develop the trade union organization in non-state enterprises and continue to mobilize the development of union members in units that already have a trade union organization. In 2024, the whole industry developed 185 new union members, admitted 24 new party members and introduced 24 outstanding union members to train and develop the Party.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Trade Union of Industry and Trade will continue to perform well the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Organize well the conference programs, participate in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements with more favorable terms for workers; actively participate in supervising the activities of grassroots democracy regulations, effectively resolve issues arising from the grassroots, continue to be a trustworthy organization to build an increasingly strong working class.
