This coating technology is a proprietary nano polysiloxane formulation developed by Optitune. This ultra-thin and invisible coating can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as metal, glass and plastic, providing enhanced resistance to scratches, smudges and fingerprints.

According to CEO Jussi Paulus, the nano-coating will be applied to more than 1 million devices and is expected to reach consumers as early as 2025. Optitune claims the innovation will deliver a more transparent display experience, reduce distracting smudges, improve tactile feel, and extend the lifespan of uncoated devices.

Advantages of Optitune's nano-coating technology

Optitune also highlights the coating's "best-in-class" abrasion resistance, as well as its chemical and temperature stability. Notably, Optitune's "trillion dollar partner" has decided to apply the coating to its existing product lines, allowing consumers to experience the new technology without having to wait for future models.

Optitune's advertising image seems to imply that Apple is their customer.

The environmental sustainability of Optitune’s nano-coatings also offers a key advantage. The company is the first to market a fluorine-free polymer for this application, and their ultra-thin coatings significantly reduce chemical waste and carbon emissions compared to other coatings.

While information about the tech giant is still limited, several publicly traded companies with trillion-dollar market capitalizations, including Apple, Microsoft, and Google, have been mentioned as potential partners. However, Optitune's reference to "tablets" may rule out Microsoft, which does not currently offer dedicated tablets. Optitune's advertising also prominently features products such as Apple's iPad, MacBook, and iPhone, along with some Samsung Galaxy devices.
