In recent days, despite the cold and rainy weather, workers have been soaking for hours in the black and foul-smelling wastewater to dredge mud and trash before adding Red River water to clean the To Lich River.

At the source of To Lich River, in the area of ​​Hoang Quoc Viet and Buoi streets (Cau Giay district), in recent days, dozens of workers from Hanoi Drainage Company have been dredging sludge on the river and clearing the flow.

Workers from Hanoi Drainage Company brought a series of dredging equipment, cranes, tankers... to urgently install and inspect the site before construction.

Trucks containing sludge and wastewater are present at the scene.

Before dredging mud in different areas, workers rowed boats to check and inspect the surrounding scene to come up with a construction plan.

After checking and inspecting the scene, workers operated a crane to dredge sludge on the To Lich River.

The sludge is carefully trucked down to the storage boat, then workers on the boat use pipes to suck each piece of sludge into the tanker to avoid the stench and transport it to the collection point.

The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just announced the Conclusion of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Tran Sy Thanh, on the plan to renovate and improve the To Lich River before implementing the plan to supplement water from the Red River to clean the To Lich River. Accordingly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. to immediately carry out the overall dredging of the To Lich River in the districts where the river passes through, basically completing it in August 2025.
