Cong Phuong returns to his 'old home' HAGL

Before the 2024-2025 Vietnamese professional football season started, Cong Phuong returned home to join Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club, playing in the national first division. In the new team's jersey, the former HAGL striker is performing at a high level.

Up to now, Cong Phuong has played a total of 6 matches for Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club. The striker from Nghe An is the brightest star of the team, contributing 5 goals and 1 assist. Before Cong Phuong's performance in Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club, many fans expected him to have the opportunity to return to contribute to the Vietnam national team. Therefore, the fact that the 29-year-old striker was not included in the list of players for the AFF Cup 2024 by coach Kim Sang-sik has created many conflicting opinions from fans.
