Government Electronic Information Portal is in the top 10 Vietnamese websites with the most visitors.

(CLO) On November 14, in Hanoi, the Government Electronic Information Portal and the Government Office chaired a conference to connect the Government's direction and administration information on the network environment with the Electronic Information Portals of ministries, branches and localities in 2024.

At the conference, General Director of the Government Electronic Information Portal Nguyen Hong Sam said that the ecosystem of the Government Electronic Information Portal is very diverse and multi-platform. On the web platform, the media ecosystem of the Government Electronic Information Portal is operating nearly 40 specialized pages and producing content in 3 languages: Vietnamese, English, and Chinese.

In addition to the web platform, the Government Electronic Information Portal has proactively provided information on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Zalo, etc. about the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws and the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister . In particular, it is taking the lead in State administrative agencies.

The Fanpage "Government Information" currently has more than 5.4 million regular followers, with daily visits ranging from 15-20 million, with peak days reaching up to 30 million.

In addition, the Government Information YouTube Channel has nearly 300,000 followers with nearly 7 million views per month, many videos reaching more than 1 million views/video. Information pages on Zalo receive the attention of more than 10 million accounts, with an average of 2.3 million people accessing information per month. The Government Information Channel on Viber has more than 166,000 members.

On the two largest mobile application stores in the world today, Appstore and CH Play, the Government Electronic Information Portal is also operating two applications, Chinhphu.vn and Government Electronic Newspaper.

The number of visitors to the Government Portal is in the top 10 most visited Vietnamese websites.

Regarding the operation of the Electronic Information Portals of ministries, branches and localities: through the survey results of 89 Electronic Information Portals of ministries, branches and localities, most of the Electronic Information Portals of ministries, branches and localities have provided complete information according to the provisions of Decree No. 42/2022/ND-CP.

All Electronic Portal systems are protected by at least one of the information security solutions and most have been tested for information security before being put into use...

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong said that electronic information portals and websites are important "bridges" between the government and people in the digital age.

The Ministry of Information and Communications has a system to monitor and measure the provision and use of digital government services (EMC system). According to Mr. Phuong, e-government portals need to urgently connect to this system and exploit monitoring data from the system to serve their own management needs.

Every year, the Ministry of Information and Communications will also conduct periodic assessments of the quality and performance of government agency portals nationwide. "Agencies should learn from the Government Portal in terms of communication, diversifying information methods such as social networks and infographics," Deputy Minister Phuong informed.
