Binh Duong Electricity Company announces the change of electricity meter reading schedule for all customers in Binh Duong province to the end of the month.

First of all, Binh Duong Power Company sincerely thanks our customers for cooperating, sharing and accompanying us in the past time.

With the goal of actively implementing digital transformation in production and business, improving service quality and customer experience, and also in accordance with the requirements of a number of State management agencies, Vietnam Electricity Group has developed a roadmap to implement the change of the electricity meter reading date (electricity reading) to the end of the month (instead of the current electricity reading date), in which priority is given to customers who have been equipped with electronic meters with remote data collection features. For the remaining customers, the Electricity industry continues to gradually move the electricity reading date to the end of the month in accordance with the roadmap for equipping electronic meters with remote measurement features with the goal of all electricity customers nationwide having their electricity readings uniformly recorded on the last day of the month in the coming time.

Changing the electricity recording schedule to the end of the month will help the Electricity industry implement the digital transformation roadmap, in line with the development of smart grids and ensure the correct implementation of the principle of recording electricity sales revenue in accordance with the cost according to the accounting year, while bringing many benefits to electricity customers; specifically:

- Customers can easily remember the electricity recording date, electricity payment date and proactively monitor and track monthly electricity usage, proactively plan payment.

- When receiving the electricity bill, customers know for sure the amount of electricity used from the 1st to the last day of each month (full month, full year).

- In the first month of changing the electricity recording schedule to the end of the month, customers will have their usage time extended and electricity payment from the old recording date to the end of the month. In addition, in May 2025, electricity prices will change from May 10, 2025 (according to Decision No. 1279/QD-BCT dated May 9, 2025 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on regulations on electricity prices), so the total electricity consumption and the amount of electricity to be paid will increase compared to previous months. The calculation of electricity bills is carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Circular No. 09/2023/TT-BCT dated April 21, 2023 and the current electricity price list (the rate for customers using household electricity is increased corresponding to the number of additional days of electricity use), ensuring full customer rights (detailed information on the number of days of use, electricity consumption, rate and electricity price will be shown on the Electricity Bill, Detailed List of Electricity Bills, Customers can look up and check when needed).

With the above objectives and benefits, Binh Duong Power Company/affiliated Power Companies have been coordinating with customers using electricity in Binh Duong province to change the electricity recording schedule to the last day of the month with the goal of striving for all customers using electricity in Binh Duong province to have their electricity recorded uniformly on the last day of the month in the coming time. Note: During the implementation process, the Power Companies will notify and coordinate with Customers to implement specific roadmaps for each area and each customer according to technical infrastructure conditions.
