Binh Thuan Electricity Company announces change in meter reading schedule for July 2023

With the goal of implementing digital transformation in production and business activities, while continuously improving the quality of customer service, Binh Thuan Electricity Company has built a roadmap to gradually unify the schedule for recording electricity consumption indexes of electricity customers in customer areas where electronic meters have been installed with remote data collection on the last day of the month.

The implementation will be carried out on a roadmap for each customer group and each area that has ensured sufficient technical infrastructure conditions, as well as in accordance with the actual situation of installing electronic meters for customers. Initially (from September 2022 to November 2022), Binh Thuan Electricity Company has implemented it for customers with dedicated transformer stations; In 2023, it will continue to implement it for customers at public transformer stations (including customers buying electricity for daily life and customers buying electricity for non-daily life) who have installed electronic meters with remote data collection reaching 100% (or nearly 100%). Specifically, in July 2023, the meter recording schedule will be changed in the following areas:

In the month of changing the meter reading schedule : The electricity output used by customers during the time corresponding to the current meter reading schedule will be calculated together with the electricity output used by customers from the current meter reading date to the end of the month to issue in 01 electricity bill . The customer's electricity bill is calculated based on the actual electricity output used by customers recorded on the meter and the retail electricity price according to current regulations issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade . In particular, for customers purchasing electricity for domestic purposes, the electricity usage of each level will be adjusted according to the actual number of days of the meter reading period.

From the month following the month of changing the meter reading schedule: The customer meter reading schedule is performed on the last day of the month . The electricity consumption and monthly electricity bill will be calculated for the entire month (from the 1st to the last day of the month).

Changing the GCS schedule to the last day of the month not only ensures full customer rights but also makes it convenient for customers to monitor and check electricity consumption index according to the correct number of days in the month (from the 1st to the last day of the month), and easily remember the monthly payment date to ensure continuous electricity supply .
