Binh Dien Fertilizer Company contributes to providing livelihoods to people in flood-hit areas of Thanh Hoa province

(Chinhphu.vn) - Binh Dien Fertilizer Company and Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper launched the program "Giving livelihoods to people in flood-hit areas of Thanh Hoa province". The program directly supports essential agricultural materials such as fertilizers and rice seeds, with a total value of 3 billion VND.

Providing livelihoods to 1,500 flood-affected households

The program was carried out in coordination with Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper and local authorities in Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province, to join hands to support people to overcome the severe consequences caused by recent major storms.

In September and October 2025 alone, the northern provinces had to bear heavy damage from consecutive major storms.

Faced with the huge losses of people's assets and means of production, with the spirit of mutual love and responsibility to the community and society, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company decided to take urgent and timely action.

The program "Providing livelihoods to people in flood-hit areas of Thanh Hoa province in 2025" focuses on providing direct support to 1,500 households most severely affected through 1,500 livelihood packages. Each package is worth 2 million VND, including essential agricultural materials such as fertilizers and rice seeds.

This is a highly practical support, implemented with the hope that when farmers have production materials in hand, they will have immediate motivation to improve the land, replant and thereby ensure local food security, contributing to gradually stabilizing life in a sustainable way.

Livelihood packages will soon reach flood victims

Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, shared that social security support activities are a regular activity of the company. Nong Cong is one of the most affected areas in Thanh Hoa, farmers have almost lost everything.

Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, said that the livelihood package for people in the flood-hit areas of Thanh Hoa province this year, although small compared to the loss of farmers, hopes to share some of the difficulties and join hands to support people after the flood.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoai, Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper, said: "With Binh Dien, we have many programs for social security and they all have positive impacts. After the trip to give livelihoods to people in flood-affected areas (affected by storm Yagi) in Lao Cai and Yen Bai last year, we conducted a survey of farmers receiving livelihoods, and the farmers were very excited because this is a very necessary means of production for them," said Mr. Hoai.

Through this program, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company and Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper call on businesses, organizations and philanthropists across the country to join hands, spread the spirit of mutual love, contribute to helping people in storm and flood areas quickly stabilize their lives, reproduce and overcome difficulties caused by storms and floods.
