Strengthening connections between Vietnamese and Australian associations and businesses

According to the VNA correspondent in Australia, implementing Resolution 59-NQ/TW and Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation and private economic development, on October 24, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia coordinated with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Perth to co-organize the first online meeting between organizations, associations, and Australia-Vietnam business councils in all states and Vietnamese enterprises and overseas Vietnamese enterprises operating in this country.

The event attracted nearly 30 delegates, including Presidents, Vice Presidents, Executive Board members of 9 organizations, associations, Australia - Vietnam business councils, and businessmen from many states and cities, as well as representatives of many Vietnamese enterprises investing and doing business in Australia. Former Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski, currently an advisor to many organizations involved in cooperation with Vietnam, also attended and spoke at the online meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam emphasized the need to strengthen connections and promote cooperation between organizations and business groups interested in Vietnam across Australia. According to the Ambassador, this is a great opportunity for associations to get acquainted, build networks, explore cooperation potential, and at the same time open up the possibility of establishing an Alliance of Australian - Vietnamese business associations across Australia.

Sharing the same view with Ambassador Pham Hung Tam, former Ambassador Goledzinowski said he is currently working with many Vietnamese associations in Australia such as the Association of Experts and Intellectuals, the Women's Association, the Business Association... and sees the need for coordination between organizations and associations is very large.

The President of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council Queensland branch (AVBCQ), Mr. Simon White, also mentioned the need for connection and the formation of a unified organization that brings together different associations in Australia interested in doing business with Vietnam.

This idea also received the approval of Mr. Tran Ba ​​Phuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Australia (VBAA) and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My, Chairman of the Vietnam - North Australia Business Council (NTVBC).

At the meeting, delegates introduced their organizations and businesses, suggested business cooperation opportunities, and discussed sharing information and data, establishing contact groups on WhatsApp application... The parties basically agreed to consider establishing a unified organization across Australia.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam highly appreciated the support and cooperation of local business organizations and associations for Vietnamese enterprises and Vietnamese delegations to Australia.
